There is no fixed price list because no two sites carry the same risk. A gatehouse on a live housing development, a night patrol on a vacant unit and a dog team on a demolition site are priced differently, and should be.
What you receive is a per-site proposal that shows exactly what the cost buys: the hours, the officers, the reporting and the terms. These are the six things that move the number.
Most delays in quoting come from the hours being unclear. Set out the pattern here and the planner writes the summary for you. No cost is shown; it simply makes the requirement precise.
Guard-hours are what a security proposal is built on. A site needing one officer, seven nights a week, twelve hours a night, is an 84-hour week. Knowing that figure lets us quote accurately first time.

A proposal from AGS Security is a working document, not a headline price. It is written so that a site manager, a procurement team and a director can each find what they need in it, and so that nothing about the cover is left to assumption once officers are on site.
If you are comparing providers, ask each of them for the same eight items. The differences usually appear in the reporting and the terms, not the hourly rate.
Three steps. Each one has a person attached to it, and you will know who.
An operations manager calls to confirm the site, hours, access, known risks and start date. If the requirement is straightforward and the site is familiar, a proposal can follow from this call alone.
We visit the site anywhere in the regions we cover, at no cost and with no obligation. Boundaries, access points, plant and materials, lighting, neighbouring risk and the practicalities for officers are reviewed. The written proposal follows.
Once the proposal is agreed, assignment instructions are finalised, officers are selected and briefed on your site, and cover begins on the agreed date with reporting running from the first shift.
Plain answers. Where the honest answer is "it depends on the site", we say so rather than guess.
Yes. It is offered anywhere in the regions AGS Security covers, and there is no obligation to proceed. It exists because a proposal built on a site we have seen is more accurate than one built on a phone call, which is better for both sides.
It depends on whether a site visit is needed and how quickly it can be arranged. A clear requirement for a familiar type of site can be proposed quickly; a complex multi-site or phased requirement takes longer. We will give you a date on the first call.
Requirements are assessed individually. Long-term contracts, phased developments, short temporary cover and shutdown periods are all quoted. Tell us the duration and we will say plainly whether we can support it.
Where officers are available for the location and service, yes. Short-notice cover is assessed on the same basis as any other requirement; the difference is that we will tell you straight away whether it can be staffed rather than sending a proposal that cannot be delivered.
Licensable security activities in the UK must be carried out by officers holding a valid Security Industry Authority licence. AGS Security deploys licensed officers for those activities, so the cover on your site is lawful and the officers have passed the SIA's identity, criminal record and training requirements.

Tell us the current arrangement and its notice period. We propose on the same basis as any new site, and where the Transfer of Undertakings regulations may apply to existing officers we discuss that openly as part of the proposal rather than after you have signed.
